It’s easy to get around


Marne-la-Vallée is an area with remarkable transport connections, located 12 km east of Paris. This strategic location, together with efficient transport links, greatly facilitates all exchanges on a regional, national and international level.


Whether by air, road or rail, it is easy to get to Marne-la-Vallée. The proximity of two international airports (Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle and Orly) and the TGV station in Chessy combine to place the conurbation at the crossroads of major European routes. Marne-la-Vallée is also easily accessible thanks to two RER train lines and several primary highways crossing the area.

  • Close to the airports

Located at equal distance from both airports in the region, it takes no longer than 10 minutes to reach Roissy Charles de Gaulle by TGV, and about 40 minutes to get to Orly by shuttle bus.

  • TGV, RER and other trains

Marne-la-Vallée boasts a particularly efficient railway network. The foremost TGV hub in France, the Chessy/Marne-la-Vallée station already gets 62 high-speed trains daily: TGV, Eurostar and Thalys.

It offers very fast connections towards the major cities in France and several European capitals. For instance, it takes just 1 hour to reach Lille, 1 hour 45 minutes to Lyon, 1 hour 35 minutes to Brussels, 2 hours 40 minutes to London, and 3 hours 15 minutes to Marseille.

And to reach the centre of Paris (Châtelet-les-Halles station), it takes no more than 15 minutes from Porte de Paris/Noisy-le-Grand, and just 40 minutes departing from Val d'Europe and the Disney parks. Indeed, the RER A line crosses Marne-la-Vallée east to west. With 1 train every 5 to 15 minutes from 5:00 am to 1:00 am, it is extremely easy to get to Châtelet-les-Halles from any one of the 9 RER stations in Marne-la-Vallée.

Marne-la-Vallée also has a direct link to Gare de l'Est from 5 SNCF stations.

  • Roads, buses and soft transport

Bisected by the Francilienne motorway (A104, RN104) and the A199 motorway, Marne-la-Vallée is also spanned along its whole length by the A4 motorway. It takes no more than 10 to 30 minutes to reach Paris (Porte de Bercy) from one of its 10 interchanges.

Local travel is made easy thanks to 2 urban bus networks (RATP and PEP'S), operating about forty lines, completed by a few intercity lines.

Lastly, the Local Planning and Development Authorities provide support to local authorities that develop soft transport, cycling or pedestrian routes. These include functional lanes that promote bicycles as an alternative to cars, or else pathways intended for hiking, especially through forests or along the banks of the Marne.
